Gratitude and Thanksgiving: A Time to Reflect and Rejoice
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever - Psalm 136:1-2
As we approach this Thanksgiving, it's a moment to pause, to celebrate, to give, and to gather with loved ones. It's a time to be grateful and to appreciate the rhythms of life.
God has made everything beautiful in its time. (Ecclesiastes 3:2)
Today, I share with you my heartfelt gratitude, spanning the facets of nature, personal experiences, family, community, and faith.
Nature's Beauty: The four seasons stand as a canvas showcasing God's artistry, a living testament to His love that reaches every heart. The gentle whispers of a breeze, the vibrant hues of a sunset, and the delicate yet resilient blooms all speak of a divine presence. Whether I'm strolling through scenic trails or being enveloped by the golden shades of autumn, these moments bring me closest to the Creator.
In the glittering snows, I perceive His holiness and purity; with each sunrise and sunset, His glory is unveiled. His whispers resonate through nature's melodious bells, His richness evident in the diverse plants and exquisite flowers. Every step on scenic trails feels like a communion with Him. I'm in constant awe of the wonders of mountains and the resplendence of autumn's golden hue. It's in these serene moments, especially beside the quiet waters in a nearby park, that I find solace and nourishment for my thirsty soul as I listen to His voice.
His creation speaks of tender love, offers a gentle touch, and resonates with a deep calling for a life lived to the fullest, mirroring the blossoming flowers and fruit-bearing plants.
Personal Journey: In the ebbs and flows of life, I've been touched by the gentle grace of God. As it's written, "His word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path" (Psalm 119:105), His guidance has been a constant source of illumination in my journey.
In moments of uncertainty, I found solace in His guiding hand, and in times of unexpected joy, I celebrated His divine presence. It's through His intricate plans that I discovered true fulfillment, embarking on a transformative journey from an employee to an entrepreneur, all the while guided by His unwavering support.
At the appointed time, His divine plans manifested in my life, unfolding in perfect harmony. On my birthday, He blessed my daughter with a job, a timely reminder of His providence. During my career transition, a path from fear and uncertainty, His comforting words served as a beacon, providing guidance and encouragement.
As it is written, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore" (Psalm 16:11). I've witnessed the fulfillment of this promise, and I know that God is capable of doing "immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us" (Ephesians 3:20).
Family and Faith: In the comforting embrace of my family and the supportive community within my church, I discover an unwavering strength. Amid occasional discord, our unity grows deeper through shared challenges and an abundance of love. It's within these moments, where occasional noise of complaints fades into a deeper understanding and love, that we find ourselves drawing closer, celebrating our journey even in the face of struggles. It's truly a blessing to have walked through the valleys of my career transition this year alongside my loved ones, growing closer to God in the process. The prayers, worship, and fellowship within our church community serve as an anchor, nourishing my soul and fortifying my connection with God.
Work and Community: God's guidance in my career journey and the diverse array of connections within the financial and tech sectors have been profoundly enlightening. These encounters have been pivotal in my growth, providing lessons and insights that have inspired me to guide others toward financial stability. Moreover, Social media interactions have sparked a deeper calling within me to spread God's message, leading me to establish platforms to share His transformative words.
I am grateful for God's guidance in steering my career transition towards His envisioned green pasture, where I can live to my fullest. His wisdom has led me to numerous accomplishments, nurturing resilience in facing challenges and overcoming failures. I'm thankful for the support and lessons received from both cooperative and challenging coworkers.
This year, I delved into personal and family financial education and began assisting other families in establishing a secure financial foundation, ultimately aiming for financial freedom. The value of the teachings and wisdom shared within this community has been immeasurable, introducing me to remarkable individuals who embody both greatness and godliness.
The engagements and conversations on social media served as a revelation, unveiling my profound calling to spread God's powerful and graceful words. This revelation prompted the creation of 'Grow to Your Fullest' on WeChat and two YouTube channels—one in Chinese and one in English. It's my commitment to release two videos monthly, driven by the purpose of sharing this transformative message.
Gratitude in Action: To each person reading this, your support fuels my purpose to share these thoughts and experiences. Your presence is a reminder of the power of connection and community.
Gratitude isn't just a seasonal expression; it's a lifelong commitment. It's one of the beautiful fruits from the Holy Spirit, a part of a life filled with love, joy, and peace. As we should be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
