It’s Time to Grow to Your Fullest

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die... a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away… He has made everything beautiful in its time. - Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

Life has its own seasons and rhythms. If you have experienced life’s difficulties, it’s time for the joys; if you have been in silence, it’s time to speak out the truths; if you have been caught up in life’s busyness, it’s time to relax; if you have wandered in wilderness, it’s time to walk in green pastures; if you have traveled on crooked paths, it’s time to level on straight road.

Since I published the book, Grow to Your Fullest, about four years ago, I did some very limited work to get its message out. In the last three years, I was heavily pulled into life’s other journeys, changing job, relocating and building new relationships and caring about family, etc.

The journey is not smooth but it is full of great and sensational moments. Sometimes they are moments of laughter and happiness, in another, they are moments of sorrows, fears, and worries; moments of excitements and hopes, moments of loneliness and despairs; moments of peace and enjoyment, moments of suffering and pains; moments of confidence and strength, moments of doubts and weakness. No matter what kind of moments they are, I realized how these moments were intertwined and woven into a beautiful mosaic. I sensed that theses moments are what instill meanings, endow significance, and bloom beauties. Moments enrich us - they mine our character, create values, and sow eternity. Whether we realize it or not, God has made everything beautiful in its own time and has put eternity in every moment!

The journey is not smooth but it’s full of great and sensational moments. Those are moments of mining characters, creating values and sowing eternity.

Last evening as I was reflecting on the past three years of my life, I contemplated about when I stopped the work I used to be passionate about. I picked up my book on the shelf in my bedroom and read the introduction. In the final part, it states, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE if you do not give up. It is the work of God but not yours. If you give up, you stop His work in creating miracles.

Immediately I recognized that the reason I stopped pursuing God’s work in creating miracles is due to my forgetful nature. I failed to remember the passions He put in my heart and the missions He called me for, but in order to get back on the right track, it is time for me to seek after and realize His great purpose.

Yes, there is a time for everything, a time to forget and a time to remember, a time to rest and a time to work. Now is a time for me to get back on the right path and grow to my fullest. But it is also a time for you to grow to your fullest. I look forward to you in joining me on this journey, hand in hand, so that we may all grow to our fullest in accordance to the gifts God has graciously given us.

Tomorrow is our gift from God and everything God does endures forever!
