Christmas Light

I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life – John 8:12

Amazing—the year 2015 is ending in the celebration of holidays: while the spirit of Thanksgiving is still hanging around, Christmas light is already on the way and the New Year is waving hands to us with a smiling face and winning spirit.

Christmas is coming and we see the Christmas lights are shining silently in the darkness of the cold winter, on houses, trees and in and out of the buildings, it lights up people’s heart and brings warmth into families.

Every year, whenever you see the beautifully decorated lights, have you ever think what they mean, how do you feel?

Jesus, the Lord is the true light of the world, a light that is on 24 hours 7 days, a light that can shine but not need to be charged; a light we cannot buy with dollars but only can gain in believing and following Him; a light that shines gently on all men with equality, whether you are rich or poor, a celebrity or unknown, whether you win or lose. The Christmas light is a light of true life that comes from Jesus, the prince of peace. The light breaks down the darkness and lights up the world with joys; it units the beauty from the broken world, gathers the loved ones together and brings the scattered minds to a single focus, celebrating the Messiah coming into our world with the unions of family and friends and leads us to eternal life. It’s the light that leads us to Love, Hope, Joy, Peace, Truth, Freedom and Confidence so we will not walk on the way of the world that leads to hatred, despairing, misery, chaos or conflicts, false, bondage, finally death.

Christmas Lights is Light of LOVE

When the lights start shining around us, people are lighted up and start giving gifts and sending greeting cards to show their loves to families, relatives and friends. The light unites the beauty of the broken world and gathers warmth all around: it brings out people’s goodness that is consumed in our busy life and it helps us realize how important family and friends are; it also reminds us homeless people or people in need. We give gifts and donations to those people to show heavenly loves. Just as a little baby was born onto the earth about 2000 years ago to show God’s perfect love … Christmas is to celebrate His birth because He brought us the true love and his love is the original of human love, the light of the world as it’s said, God is Love (1 John 4:8) Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:6-7)

Christmas Lights is Light of HOPE

Christmas light is the light of hope because a savior was born into the world and He can deliver us from people's sins that lead to death. Now we get the hope of eternal life in believing Him; we also have the hope of living an abundant life during the world walk as Jesus said, I have come so you can have life and have it to the full (john10:10)

We get hope to live out our best: the blind gets the hope to see; the sick gets the hope to be healed; the lost gets the hope to be found; the lonely gets the hope to have companions. The world of chaos gets the hope to be peaceful and harmony, finally the death is conquered by true life, we get the hope of having an eternal life.

The Lord also said, for I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give hope and a future'(Jeremiah 29:10) The Lord has great plans for each of us, plans that are great and awesome, that fills us with hope for tomorrow. Because of his great plan so the Lord was humbled himself and came into this world for our sake even died on cross for our sins. There are no greater love than this. He even planed greater things to come... Believe it and see it! May the Light of hope be with you and your loved during the Christmas time.

Christmas Lights is Light of JOY

The light of love and hope breaks down the darkness lights up the world with joys and brings excitement into our heart and the joyful carols around, listen… Joy to the world… with the heavenly love, eternal hope, people joyfully give and receive greetings, enjoy the foods, talking, sharing, caring, and singing together...

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Roman 15:13)

Christmas Lights is Light of PEACE

In love and hope with joy, the peace is gently flowing out from people’s hearts and reflecting on faces with happiness and the peace turns moments of chaos into moments of synergy and serenity from crowds with unified focus: celebrating a new life, for peace, the Lord was born. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given… he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6). See the baby, the prince of peace, is sleeping in heavenly peace with joys around. He brings the peace to people’s heart like the blue peaceful lights shine on us silently and he is whispering a message: No matter what happening in your life, you are perfectly fine because I come to be with you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid (John 14:27).

No matter how busy you are, how concerned you feel for what is going on in your life, how anxious you are about something, please do not be discouraged, do not be overly troubled as the Lord promised us everything would be fine and his peace is with you.

Christmas Lights is Light of TRUTH

The light of life is also the light of truth. The Lord acclaimed, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). The truth is that Jesus is the only way to a good, righteous, joyful, peaceful and eternal life. Except for him, there is no other way, no other god that can help you. During the Christmas time, His season, embrace the truth with a grateful heart and a heart of humbling and repentance to please him and glorify him as He deserved. See the needs of others and invite people in need to your home if possible and add one or more non-family members to your dinner table so you can show your love from the Lord.

Christmas Light is Light of FREEDOM

When we walk in the light in following Jesus, we are walking on the way of love, hope, joy, peace and truth, we are on the way of true freedom in life because we are out of bondage of hatred, despairing, misery, conflicts, and false, that leads to a life of death. We gain an eternal life from our dear Lord, what a glorious life we have! Our Lord paid it all for us and conquered the death. We are free. Ever since we will not suffer the pains from the sins of the world, greed, envy, deceit, gossips, arrogant and boastful, etc. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery (Galatians 5:1)

Praise the Lord for setting us free! Now we can enjoy a life of harmony, peace, joy and all the goodness of life in the family of the God. May you enjoy the freedom of life in love, hope, joy, peace and truth in the Lord!

Christmas Light is Light of CONFIDENCE

We walk in the light of life, that is the light of love, hope, joy, peace, truth and freedom, we walk out of the fear, gain the full confidence to live each daiy with passion and love. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love (1 John 4:18)

In love, we dare to talk to strangers about Jesus; in love, we have the courage to invite not-well-known people to have dinner together and we are not concerned to be rejected or misunderstood; in love, we fearlessly pick up the phone to call an old friend who hurt us and have not talk for so long or send a lovely greeting message to him; in love, we are willing to pray for people who do not like us even hate us for the reasons that we do not know. When we get courage to do this and we are pleasing the Lord, and we are running a race that will not lose but win the crown of the life in the Lord just as Apostle Paul said, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus(Philippians 3:14)

Christmas is to celebrate the light of a true life, the light of love, hope, joy, peace, truth, freedom and confidence. In those lights, we celebrate Christmas, celebrate a perfect life having coming into the world, it’s this life that brought the world with genuine love, bubbling hope, leaping joy, heavenly peace, steadfast truth, 360 degree freedom and stubborn confidence or courage, it's this life that leads us to a winning life in the broken and troubles filled world.

One day, in an orphanage at Christmas, the teacher, Anne, told the story about Jesus born in a manger, she then asked kids to make mangers with cardboard and put a doll-like baby in their made manger. While the orphans were busy assembling their mangers, Anne walked around to provide help. In a manger, she noticed there are two babies, she asked the kid, Misha, about 6 years old, why? Misha explained “When Maria laid the baby in the manger; Jesus looked at me and asked me if I had a place to stay. I told him I have no mamma and I have no papa, so I don't have any place to stay. Then Jesus told me I could stay with him. But I told him I couldn't; because I didn't have a gift to give him like everybody else did. But I wanted to stay with Jesus so much, so I thought about what I had that maybe I could use for a gift. I thought maybe if I could keep him warm, and that would be a good gift. So I asked Jesus, 'If I keep you warm, will that be a good enough gift?' And Jesus told me, 'If you keep me warm, that will be the best gift anybody ever gave me.' So I got into the manger, and then Jesus looked at me and he told me I could stay with him---for always." As little Misha finished his story, his eyes brimmed full of tears that splashed down his little cheeks.

It's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life, that counts. do you have Jesus in your heart? If you do not, it's the perfect time to come to him and believe in Him.

Christmas is to celebrate a perfect life, a Savior who brought us salvation so we have love, hope, joy, peace, truth, freedom and confidence in life that all sums up as an abundant eternal life. That’s the true essence of Christmas. The Lord promised us, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” – John 8:12

Let’s enjoy in those light, bring the light of gospel, love, hope, joy, peace, truth, freedom and confidence to wherever we go and grab it wherever we are. May the light shines on us into the New Year and forever just like the orphan, little Misha stay with Jesus forever!
